Karim I State Constituency Bye-Election: Hon. Gwamna Hails Peaceful Process, Predicts APC Victory

As voting progresses in the bye-election for the Karim I State House of Assembly seat in Taraba State, Hon. Aminu Amos Gwamna has commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of the poll.
He praised the authorities for creating a secure and conducive environment for voters.
Speaking to journalists during the election, Hon. Gwamna applauded the state government and security agencies for their efforts in maintaining order and safeguarding the process.
He also extended his appreciation to the media for their active role in ensuring transparency.
“The atmosphere today is peaceful and conducive,” he noted. “I want to sincerely thank the government for providing adequate security and commend the press for their role in promoting transparency and credibility.”
Gwamna was visibly moved by the large voter turnout, highlighting the determination of citizens who braved difficult terrain to exercise their democratic rights.
“It is inspiring to see people crossing rivers and forests just to cast their votes. This reflects the strength of their belief in democracy and the future of our constituency,” he said.
He emphasized the need for empathy and accountability in leadership, especially in light of the sacrifices voters make to participate in elections.
“As leaders, we must have genuine compassion for our people. Their resilience should challenge us to lead with love and dedication. That is the essence of true leadership.”
Looking ahead, Hon. Gwamna expressed strong confidence in a favorable outcome for his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“My expectations are high. By God’s grace, APC will emerge victorious. The people of Munga Dosso have remained loyal to the party for a very long time. Yet, they continue to suffer from neglect—our schools are collapsing, and infrastructure is lacking. This election is about delivering meaningful change.”
He further highlighted that the APC is presenting a candidate who embodies a new vision for development and progress.
“We are backing a young, dynamic candidate who understands the challenges facing our people and is ready to drive real transformation,” he added.
As voting continues and results are awaited, anticipation builds across Karim I.
For many, this election is more than a routine democratic exercise—it is a plea for responsive leadership and lasting development.
