JALINGO – MILE SIX – LABOUR HOUSE BYE PASS ROADS: A BEEHIVE OF KEKE-NAPEP RELATED CRIMES

The Jalingo- Mile Six – Labour House bye-pass road has become a beehive of KEKE-NAPEP related crimes and so many lives have been lost to KEKE-NAPEP related crimes along this axis of Jalingo.
Countless number of Persons who use KEKE-NAPEP along this axis to get to their respective destinations have fallen victims to criminals who disguise themselves as descent KEKE-NAPEP riders and passengers who in the cause of conveying their innocent unsuspecting passengers abruptly stop and arm-rob their victims of their mobile phones, monies and other valuable items.
Most persons who fall victims to these ceaseless KEKE-NAPEP related crimes along this axis are either killed in the process or severely wounded.
This year a dedicated staff of The Primary Healthcare Development Agency, by name Mr Lanwe Bazing,who is also a friend and a brother,died at the Federal Medical Center, Jalingo from wounds sustained from KEKE-NAPEP riders/passengers.
He was robbed of his mobile phone and other valuable items around 10:00pm on the 5th of January,2024,on his way home along Jalingo -mile six bye pass road.
Yesterday in the night, this man in the picture (name unknown), was robbed of his valuable items and was also severely wounded in the process by KEKE-NAPEP riders just around the intersection between Jalingo-Mile Six bye pass road and the labour house bye-pass road.
He was found unconscious this morning by motorists and passersby before the Police arrived and took him to the hospital.
MY OBSERVATIONS/PLEA
I have observed that criminals are continuously holding sway to the Jalingo-Mile six bye-pass road mostly in the night because street lights have not been installed on this long stretched road to boast the security impression of the road and there is absence of security operatives along this road in the night.
-I plead that street lights should be installed along the Jalingo-Mile 6 bye-pass road to boast the security of the road just as it has been installed on other roads and streets in Jalingo.
-Security should also be beefed up along this axis especially from 9:00pm to 6:00am everyday to forestall further criminal activities.
A new police division can be opened along this axis to achieve this security objective.
May the souls of those who have lost their lives from these crimes find Peace in the great beyond and may the perpetrators of these brutal crimes meet their Waterloo.
