I Have Separated Politics From Governance – Taraba Gov

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas says his administration for the past one year has distinguished between politics and governance in the interest of the development.

The Governor stated this while speaking at the PDP State caucus meeting held at the Exco Chamber Government House in Jalingo.
He explained that his administration has ensured demarcation between politics and good governance to ensure speedy development of the state and sustain people’s confidence in the party.
Governor Agbu Kefas thanked critical stakeholders of the PDP for all the support accorded him for the past one year.
According to him, Taraba state has been a PDP State hence the need to maintain the status quo.
He stressed that the meeting revolves around the forthcoming, wards, Local Government, and state congresses.
Earlier in his address, the state PDP Chairman, Elder Nuhu Abe, lauded the support and interventions of the Governor in resolving the unfortunate leadership crisis the party experienced before the Governor came on board and how he has ensured the welfare of the members.
Nuhu Abe also extended his appreciation to the party’s leadership especially those who supervised the new membership registration as he observed that new members emerge in unprecedented numbers from opposition who joined the party recently.
He assured the Governor of the support of the party and added that because of the commitment of the party, the state has been ranked among the fastest growing state in the country.
The meeting later went into a closed door.
Those in attendance at the meeting include the state Deputy Governor Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, Senator Haruna Manu Senator representing Taraba Central, Senator Shaibu Lau senator representing Taraba North, Members of the House of Representatives under the PDP, and other selected participants.
