Hon Mark Bako, Holds Thanksgiving Service, Pledges More Dividends of Democracy To Constituents

The Member representing Ussa/Takum/Donga Federal Constituency, Dr.Mark Useni Bako has reiterated his commitment and determination to attract more developmental projects that have direct bearings on the lives of the people of his Constituency.


Dr Mark Useni Bako made the promise recently during a thanksgiving service organized by his kinsmen from Bete community in Takum local government area of Taraba State to appreciate God and to also honour him for good representation at the National Assembly.

The Christian Reformed Church – Nigeria, CRCN Bete, venue of the Thanksgiving Service was filled to capacity.

Dr Mark Useni Bako, a politician of great repute has been in the driving seat of his political career since he jettisoned public service many years ago and ventured into politics to change the narrative.

The Lawmaker who started as the Councillor and later Chairman of Takum Local Government Area was later elected to represent Takum two Constituency in Taraba State House of Assembly where he rose to the position of Speaker of the House.

After serving as a Commissioner for Health during the Danbaba Suntai administration, he was elected in 2023 as Member, House of Representatives representing, Ussa, Takum and Donga Federal Constituency and he has so far attracted many people oriented projects to the people of his federal constituency.

It is on this note that the Bete community, his home town deem it necessary to return to God to appreciate him for the abundant blessings upon the area by elevating their son to the National Assembly.


Speaking during the thanksgiving service, Dr Mark Useni Bako appreciated the organizers, emphasizing his commitment to fulfill all his campaign promises to the people of his constituency.

Going down memory lane, Dr Mark Useni Bako recounted some of the obstacles he encountered in his journey to the National Assembly, which he said are lessons that have helped him a great deal while appreciating God for seeing him through the challenges as well as groups and individuals who have contributed in one way or the other towards his victory at the poll.

Dr Mark Useni Bako who has spent about one and a half years at the National Assembly has not only given the federal constituency quality representation but has continued to put smiles on the faces of the people who have been testifying of his positive impact at the Red Chamber.

There were also goodwill messages by political associates of Dr Mark Useni Bako as well as prominent personalities from the area.

Earlier in his sermon during the thanksgiving service, the resident Pastor of Christian Reformed Church, Nigeria CRCN Bete who took his text from the book of second Chronicles chapter 16 verses 8 down to 12, said thanksgiving attracts multiplication, charging believers to imbibe the virtues of thanksgiving in whatever situation.

He said thanksgiving is a veritable key that moves God to do more for his children, adding that God is always pleased with anyone that returns to say thank you.

Highlight of the thanksgiving service was prayers for the family of Dr.Mark Useni Bako for God’s provisions, guidance and protection.
