Harnessing Tourism Potentials: Taraba To Partner FG

The Taraba State Government is seeking partnership with the Federal Government and investors to harness the full potentials in the tourism sector of the state.
This intention was expressed by the Taraba state Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas when he received the Minister of Tourism, Mrs Lola Ade John on a courtesy visit in Jalingo, the state capital.
The Minister of tourism, Mrs Lola Ade John and her entourage are in Taraba State on official engagements including visits to some of the tourist sites especially the Mambilla Plateau in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State to assess possibilities and modalities of harnessing some of the Nature’s gifts to the nation for the benefit of humanity.
The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas represented by the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali described the visit of the Minister as timely, saying the state is anxious and desiring of harnessing the natural potentials of the state under the policy document of Governor Agbu Kefas.
The Governor mentioned various tourist sites situated in various parts of Taraba State which are capable of growing the GDP of Taraba State and the country at large.
Earlier, the Minister of Tourism, Mrs Lola Ade John told the Governor, that Taraba State is in the federal Government’s blueprint under the Ministry of Tourism in view of the abundant natural resources not only in tourism but in all sectors of the economy.
According to her, the Federal Government through the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the State Government will develop strategies that can help the state and the federal Government to harness the natural resources for human development.
The Taraba State Commissioner for Heritage and Eco tourism, Rev Joseph Titus Nagombe commended the Minister for resuscitating the Tourism stakeholders meeting for the first time in eight years which Taraba state under the leadership of Governor Agbu kefas actively participated.
The team has proceeded to the Mambilla Plateau for an the spot visit to some of the tourist sites.
