Gov Kefas is Behind Our Success Story- Provost, Taraba College of Agric, Science and Technology

The Rector of the Taraba State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Dr Yakubu Garjila on Friday disclosed that the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas was brian behind the developments recorded in the College.

Garjila, who stated this during an exclusive interview with Blueprint in Jalingo hinted that the governor since assumption of office has demonstrated his unending love for the institution.
He added that the governor within the shortest period changed the face of the institution by embarking on massive developmental projects in the college.
He stressed that the College before now was like a ghost town that looks like a glorified primary school.
He highlighted that the governor in his magnanimity approved the engagement of more staff which today made the Institution to have more than enough hands.
“The resource persons who visited us last time testified that the college has enough manpower now. The next thing we are waiting for now is that when TETFUND comes, we would be sending our staff for more training and publications.
We will make sure we follow what is recommended for a polytechnic. As i talk now, we are expecting visitors today or tomorrow from TETFUND to look at some things and take their reports back” he added.
He maintained that the institution was not in anyway affected by the 50% fee reduction, nothing that students before the deduction were paying N28,000 for diploma and N34,000 for HND students.
The Rector noted that because of the passion exhibited by the Governor in reviving the College, both Staff and Students are fully prepared to support and collaborate with him to actualize his dreams of making the Institution a World Class standard.
