Gov Kefas flags off construction of 62 schools in Jalingo

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State on Wednesday flagged off the construction of 62 schools in Jalingo as part of his education policy in the state..
Laying the foundation of blocks of classrooms at Government Comprehensive Secondary School Jalingo, Kefas said that the gesture was in the fulfilment of his early promise that he would provide adequate infrastructure in all the schools in the state.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to end illiteracy in the state as well as to provide access to education to every child in the state.
Earlier, Dr Augustina Godwin, Commissioner for Education said that the foundation laying was a symbol for the construction of 62 schools in the state by the present administration.
Godwin expressed delight for the fulfilment of the promise earlier made by the governor for the provision of school’s infrastructure in the state.
Dr Emmanuel Njoku, the Consultant on the building of schools project said that the project had designed a modern building plan for the students.
Njoku said that the provision of classrooms was designed for both basic and post basic schools in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that Gov Kefas directed the closure of the Government Comprehensive Secondary School Jalingo due to it dilapidated condition.
