Fulham Beats Liverpool Again

Fulham became just only the second team to beat Liverpool FC this season after Nottingham Forest had earlier beaten them in the early part of the English Barclays Premier League.
Liverpool FC looking forward to building on their momentum towards winning the league travelled down to London to take on Fulham at the Craven Cottage stadium hoping to snatch all the three points at stake but unknown to them Fulham had a different plan and at the end of 90 minutes, Liverpool FC were left pondering over what just hit them as Fulham scuttle their party with a 3-2 win handing them their second loss of the season so far.
But despite the setback, Liverpool FC leads the table with a comfortable 11 points gap ahead of their closest rival, Arsenal, which is on 62 points.
The weekend in the English Barclays Premier League began with an early kickoff between Everton and Arsenal which desperately needed the three points to cut the huge points gap between them and the league leader Liverpool but the gunners were held to a one-all draw by their host Everton, a result which further push Liverpool FC close to the league title.
The star match of the weekend could not live up to expectations as Manchester United and Manchester City played out a dull, goalless draw at Old Trafford to the dismay of football fans who expected nothing less than the usual fireworks in the Manchester derby.
The outcome of the match did not do any good to both teams as Manchester City missed the chance to climb above Chelsea, which also managed a goalless draw against Brentford into the top four, while Manchester United also missed the chance to climb further to the 11 position.
Southampton’s journey back to the championship was confirmed by Tottenham Hotspur, which sent them back to where they came from, but Wolves boosted their chances of survival with a 1-0 win against another relegation-bound, Ipswich Town; Aston Villa boosted their Champion league place by beating third-place Nottingham Forest 2-1 at Villa Park.
In the Spanish LA Liga, Valencia, fighting for survival, stunned Real Madrid in their backyard with a 2-1 win to further swim out of relegation water with a major setback; FC Barcelona, looking to extend their lead to 6 points, host Real Betis but could only manage a one-all draw to the discomfort of their faithful.
Underperforming Sevilla were beaten 2-1 by Diego Simone Atletico Madrid, while Getafe compounded the woes of Real Valladolid as they continued to drop down further to the relegation zone by handing them a 4-0 defeat.
Real Sociedad hammered Las Palmas in their backyard 3-1, while Villarreal played out a goalless draw with Athletic Bilbao.
Lazio continued their push for a Champion League place by beating Ademola Lookman Atalanta 1-0, while the league leader, Inter Milan, was held to a two-all draw by Parma, with AC Milan themselves also playing out a two-all draw against Fiorentina.
Cesc Fabregas Como posted a 3-1 win against AC Monza, while AS Roma were held to a one-all draw by Juventus.
The story is the same in the German Bundesliga as the big boys all won their encounters.
