FUFORE SHAKES AS CHIEF CALEB STORMS CORONATION OF RIBADU

Chief Caleb Andrew Myebangara, a Governorship hopeful in Adamawa State stole the tumultuous crowd in Fufore as he enters Atiku Abubakar Stadium Fufore, the venue for the presentation of 2nd Class-Stafff-of-Office to the new Emir of Fufore ( Lamido Fuunage) Alhaji Sani Ahmadu Ribadu by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Wednesday 5th February 2025.

The Governorship hopeful,who was accompanied by his political associates, friends and well-wishers arrived the venue around 10am and was ushered in immediately inside the VIP’S lounge.

Before his arrival at the venue, his supporters who were in numbers took to the streets of Fufore and the venue with placards ‘2027 sai Caleb’, Fintiri, Caleb Dan Amana ne’.

It was really a day of glory for the celebrant and of course the Governorship hopeful.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, while presenting the Staff of Office to the new Emir of Fufore Emirate said, the establishment of the emirate was driven by the government’s genuine intention to enhance conflict resolution, strengthen local governance, and deepen democracy particularly at the grassroots.

“We have enacted the Adamawa State Chiefs Appointment and Deposition Law 2024, aimed at repositioning our traditional institutions to function as integral parts of the government structure,”

The governor expressed optimism that the creation of the Fufore Emirate would foster unity, bind the people together, and create a governance structure that reaches areas previously difficult to access.

He also highlighted that Ribadu’s appointment was based on merit, charging him to lead with wisdom and strengthen local security through intelligence gathering.

In his acceptance speech, the monarch expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri, promising to serve his people diligently and treat everyone equally without fear or favor.

The coronation ceremony was attended by first class chiefs, Monarchs from Cameroun Republic, Government functionaries and well-wishers.
