FUFORE LGA DISTRIBUTES FERTILIZER TO FARMERS TO BOOST FOOD SECURITY

In a significant move to enhance agricultural productivity and ensure food security, the Fufore Local Government Council of Adamawa State has commenced the distribution of a large quantity of fertilizer to rural farmers in the area.
The initiative, flagged off at the LGA Secretariat on Thursday, is part of a broader agricultural support scheme.
The Chairperson of Fufore LGA, Mrs. Peace Samson Audu who presided over the ceremony, credited the state government for its backing.
She acknowledged the supportive gesture of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in prioritizing agriculture as a key pillar for achieving food security in Adamawa State.

The Chairperson emphasized the timeliness of the distribution, noting that the recent heavy rains in the Fufore axis have created ideal conditions for farming.
She strongly urged beneficiaries to use the fertilizer to improve their crop yields and cautioned them against selling the commodity.
“This intervention is designed for your farms, not the market,” Mrs. Samson stated.
“I assure you of more agricultural incentives to come, and I call on all citizens to continue supporting the present administration for more developmental projects.”
Fufore Local Government Area, which comprises 11 political wards, is known for its fertile land, with a majority of its inhabitants engaged in farming.
Since assuming office earlier this year, Chairperson Peace Samson has been widely credited for her efforts in stabilizing and revitalizing the local economy, with this fertilizer distribution being her latest intervention.
