FUFORE EMIRATE CALLS FOR SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR GOV. FINTIRI OVER ROAD PROJECT
By Fidelis Jockthan
In a significant show of gratitude, the Fufore Emirate in Adamawa State has called on its citizens, both Muslims and Christians, to hold special prayers for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri following the approval for the construction of the 18km Girei-Pariya-Wuro-Bokki road.

The call is contained in an appreciation letter released on Thursday and signed by the Secretary of the Fufore Emirate Council on behalf of the Paramount Ruler, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Ribadu.
The statement highlighted that the vital road had become a “death trap” for years, with multiple past administrations failing to complete it despite previous contract awards.
“The contract was awarded by a past Administration in 2016, but the road was never completed.
This has caused disappointment and doubt among our people,” the statement reads.
However, the Emirate expressed renewed hope following Governor Fintiri’s intervention, noting that his action has “reassured our people of the government’s commitment to rural areas.”
The statement praised the Governor, describing him as the “‘Talk and Do’ Governor” for his commitment to building new infrastructure and improving the well-being of the people. It was confirmed that the project is scheduled for completion within 12 months.
In light of this development, the Emir has directed religious leaders, district heads, and village heads across the Fufore Local Government Area to organize special prayer sessions in mosques and churches this coming week.

The prayers are intended to thank God for the Governor’s gesture and to seek divine intervention for the successful and timely completion of the project.
The letter concluded: “May God continue to bless His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and give him the wisdom and strength to lead our state to greater heights.”
The project is expected to ease transportation difficulties, boost economic growth, create job opportunities, and significantly improve the quality of life for residents in the area.
