Former Bauchi Commissioner Elected PDP State Chairman, Vows To Deliver State in 2027

The People’s Democratic Party ,(PDP) Bauchi State Chapter has elected new executive officers to run the affairs of the Party in Bauchi State for the next four years as outlined in its constitution.

The election which took place at the Dr. Rilwanu Adamu Square Government House Bauchi on Saturday 31st August, saw Pharmacist Sama’ila Adamu Burga, a former Commissioner, emerging as Chairman, Alhaji Falalu Attah Deputy Chairman, Bakoji Aliyu Bobo Secretary, Danlami Garba Abubakar Zonal Chairman Bauchi South, Sani Muhammad Burra Zonal Chairman Bauchi Central and Mustapha Mai Kwana Zonal Chairman Bauchi North.
Others elected were Hafsat Adamu Treasurer, Garba Mundaminyo Financial Secretary, Abdulkadir Alin Bababa Organizing Secretary, Adamu Babayo Gabarin Publicity Secretary, while the post of Youth Leader and Women Leader went to Babangida Maliya and Maimuna Ahmad respectively.
The Chairmen of the electoral Committee, Ambassador Umar El-Gash, while declaring the results said all the Candidates returned unopposed and therefore declared elected.
Ambassador Umar El-Gash said the election was conducted in an orderly manner and therefore used the occasion to commend all members of PDP in the state for their support to the party and the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed.
while congratulating the newly elected Executives, Ambassador Umar called on them to justify the confidence reposed in them by being transparent and accountable in line with the party’s guiding principles.
In his speech, Governor Bala Mohammed represented at occasion by his Deputy Rt. Hon. Muhammad Auwal Jatau, charged the newly elected officers to consolidate and build on the success story of their predecessors to ensure PDP maintain its position as the ruling party in the state come 2027.

He congratulated them for their well deserved election, expressing hope and confidence in their ability to deliver the responsibilities vested on them.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairmen of PDP in the state, Pharmacist Sama’ila Adamu Burga, said their emergence as PDP leaders is a victory to every Party member in the state as his open door policy will ensure collective and all inclusive participation of all those willing to contribute positively for the progress of the party in the state.
He assured that with cooperation, understanding and total commitment of all members, the PDP will not only retain control of leadership in the state but also ensure that the party takes over control of administration at the center in 2027.
Burga commended the immediate past leaders of the party in the state under the leadership of Alhaji Hamza Koshi Akuyam for ensuring victory of party in 2019 and 2023, promising to consolidate on their performances.
Pharmacist Burga, however, salutes the Chairman and members of the electoral Committee for a job well done and congratulated them for successful conduct of the national assignment.
