FLOOD: ADAMAWA NLC PAYS SYMPATHY VISIT TO FORMER JUSUN CHAIRMAN

Comrade Abubakar Abba Babagurin, a former State Chairman of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, Adamawa state Chapter was among the victims ravaged by the recent devastating flood in Adamawa State which occurred on 27th July 2025.
His Vehicles were engulfed by large volume of overflowed waters at his residence while electronics and many valuables were severely affected and his family traumatized due to a lot of looses, though no life was lost.
In the wake of these trial the Comrade in labour movement is passing through, the Adamawa State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress , Comrade Emmanuel Fashe, mandated a high powered team to pay a solidarity and sympathy visit to the Comrade who is also a monarch.
The delegation which was led by Comrade Usman Babbada, the NLC Vice-chairman who doubles as Chairman of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria in an emotional tone, consoled with Comrade Babagurin, encouraging him to take solace in the Almighty God as disasters are unforseen circumstances.

“The Congress Chair and the entire organized labour are seriously worried about your present predicaments due to heavy down pour that devastated your belongings. The flooding claims about 25 lives within your area, we are so saddened by these disaster. May Almighty Allah provide succour to you and your family as well as everybody that is being affected by the flooding.
Once a General, always a General in the labour movement and that’s why we are here on the express mandate of the Congress Chair, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe to consoled with you and your family Comrade”.
“It is in our culture to extend the NLC support and unity to it’s members in times like this, because an injury to one,is an injury to all.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you our dear Comrade”.
The former JUSUN State Chairman, Comrade Abubakar Abbo Babagurin who was overwhelmed by the show of solidarity and sympathy visit, narrated how he was kept standing with his family helplessly throughout the Saturday to Sunday morning flooding on 27th July 2025 watching waters, flooding and destroying property.
“Glory be to Almighty Allah that we are alive today. My heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress for these sympathy visit.
May Almighty Allah bless you Comrades abundantly”.
During the visit,prayers were offered to the family.
Few among the entourage were Comrade Fxenty Sanda Jonathan, JUSUN Chairman, Adamawa State, Comrade Faisal Mohammed, NUT State Chairman, Comrade Shehu, RATTAWU Chairman and NLC State Treasurer.
