Fintiri Commissions Kefas’ remodeled TSHA

The Adamawa State Governor, Senator Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri has officially commissioned the Taraba State House of Assembly ultra modern complex remodeled by his Taraba State counterpart, Dr Agbu Kefas.

Speaking during the ceremony held Wednesday at the House of Assembly complex in Jalingo, Fintiri lauded the sportsmanship of Kefas’ giant developmental strides, saying the edifice is a beautiful working environment that would enhance productivity while carrying out legislative business for the people.
While calling on Taraba people to support Governor Agbu Kefas’ programmes and initiatives of moving the state forward, governor Fintiri added that the symbiotic relationship between the two states of Taraba and Adamawa is geared towards upholding the culture of development in all facets of society.
“This is a remarkable milestone that symbolizes the dedication to strengthening governance, infrastructure and fostering unity and collaboration across states for sustainable development and progress”, said the governor.
In his address of welcome earlier, the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena said the complex which according to him was constructed in 1994 had lost its beauty and had remained in a dilapidated form over the years.
But when Kefas came on board Kizito disclosed, visited the complex and pledged to have it remodeled to a standard that suits the current realities of legislation.

Mr. Speaker further explained that since assumption of office as Governor, Kefas has been so sensitive to the welfare of the legislative arm of government,
“He has paid seven (7) years’ outstanding salary arrears of the Assembly support staff, also extended benevolence towards the renovation of the State House of Assembly Service Commission,
hence the need to applaud his efforts”, he added.
The Contractor, Engnr. Osike Itsagwede described Governor Kefas as man that has the passion to develop and create wealth for the State.
He added that the project though remodeled, is a smart house that was upgraded to a standard edifice. The building was attached with high solar panel that can power the edifice non stop for 24 hours whether there’s electricity or not.
Itsagwede concluded that the project was successfully completed through collaborative efforts of the management of the State Assembly and that of his company.
In a closing remark, the Clark of the Assembly, Mrs. Salmuna Amos Sani commended governor Kefas for his vision for the State, creating a conducive working environment for the legislative arm of government.
