FedPoly Bali’s School Of Business & Management Hosts 5th Annual National Conference

The School of Business and Management Technology of the Federal Polytechnic Bali in Taraba State is hosting the 5th Annual National Conference.

The Conference is focusing on Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Biodiversity Conservation and Management for Environmental Sustainability in Nigeria.

The event, taking place from 10-13, February, 2026, at the institution’s Executive Lecture Theatre II, is featuring a lead paper presentation by Prof. Daniel Emeka Oruonye, a renowned Environmental Scientist from Taraba State University Jalingo.

Prof. Oruonye’s presentation highlighted Nigeria’s rich ecological diversity and the pressing challenges it faces, such as deforestation, habitat destruction, and climate change.

Key areas of discussion include biodiversity conservation strategies, environmental sustainability, and interdisciplinary collaboration to address the complex challenges facing Nigeria’s biodiversity.

The conference aims to provide a platform for emerging scholars and seasoned experts to share groundbreaking research and engage in meaningful discussions on environmental sustainability physically and virtually.

The event featured an address, declaring open the conference by Rector Dr. Mohammed Usman, represented by Director Academic Planning, Dr. Yahaya Tukur.

In his welcome remarks, Dr. Sani Abdullahi, Dean School of Business and Management Technology, revealed that the school received over 60 abstracts from prospective participants, stating that biodiversity loss in the country is one of the reasons that prompted the school to choose the theme of the conference to help unveil multidisciplinary perspectives on how biodiversity can be preserved and managed for Environmental Sustainability in Nigeria.

He expressed gratitude to the Management of the Federal Polytechnic Bali, Academic Board members, Lead Paper Presenter, Royal Fathers, Security Personnel, participants, Staff and students for their contributions to the success of the event and wished all participants fruitful deliberations.
