FedPoly Bali School Of Business and Mgt Tech, Hosts Annual National Conference

The School of Business and Management Technology of the Federal Polytechnic Bali, is hosting the 4th Annual National Conference between 8th to 9th April, 2025 at the institution’s Executive Lecture Theatre II.

The conference, themed “Climate Change and Environmental Management: Leveraging Technology for Sustainable Development in Nigeria,” brought together experts and stakeholders from various fields to discuss the critical issues surrounding climate change and environmental management.

The Lead Paper which was presented by Dr. Karshie Edward Adyondor of the Taraba State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Jalingo, played a crucial role in helping participants to understand the complex relationships between technology, climate change, and environmental management.

Dr. Adyondor provided insights on the ways in which technology can be leveraged to address the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation, and promote sustainable development in Nigeria.

The presentation equally highlighted the nexus between technology and climate change, and how innovative solutions can be used to mitigate the impacts of climate change and promote environmental sustainability.

He also explored the various ways in which technology can be used to support environmental management, including the use of renewable energy sources, sustainable agriculture practices, and eco-friendly infrastructure.

Earlier in his opening remarks while declaring the confidence opened, the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bali, Dr. Mohammad Usman, represented by the Deputy Rector, Engr. Sani Isa Abubakar, commended the school for the rightful selection of the theme of the conference and urged participants to seize the opportunity to benefit from it.

The Co-host and Chairman, Local Organizing Committee, Dr. Sani Abdullahi, represented by the HOD Banking and Finance, Mr. Samuel Dame, welcomed participants and explained the rationale behind the conference.

He highlighted the importance of addressing climate change and environmental management through the use of technology.

The Acting Registrar, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim Baba, in his goodwill message, lauded the Lead Paper Presenter, Dr. Karshie Edward Adyondor, for demonstrating a sense of intellectualism, which he said will be of immense benefit to the society.

He urged participants to be more attentive and assimilate the knowledge to be imparted to them.

The keynote address of the conference was delivered by Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Bagudu, who emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to address the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation, taking an overview of the key conceptual framework of the conference.

The conference provided a platform for participants to engage in discussions, share knowledge, and explore solutions to the environmental challenges facing Nigeria.

The conference was well-attended by academics, researchers, and experts from different parts of the country who contributed to the rich discussions and debates.

The event was a testament to the Federal Polytechnic Bali’s commitment to promoting research, innovation, and sustainable development.
