FedPoly Bali Creates New Schools, Appoints Deans, HODs

In a strategic move to expand academic offerings and strengthen institutional structure, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Bali, Dr Mohammed Usman has approved the creation of two new schools.

This was announced on Monday at a joint Management and Academic Board meeting of the institution chaired by the Rector, Dr.Mohammed Usman.
The venue of the meeting was the Rector’s Conference Room.
The newly established schools are the School of Environmental Sciences and the of School of Information and General Studies.
With this development, the total number of schools in the institution is now six.
As part of the restructuring, the School of Business and Management Technology has been renamed the School of Management Technology.
The change is aimed at aligning the school’s name with its academic focus and national best practices.
The Rector has equally approved the appointment of key academic officers to lead various departments and units.
The Career Services is to be headed by Alhaji Maroof Adisa, the Acting Dean, School of Information and General Studies is Dr Bashir Umar.
Auwal Isa Mohammed has been appointed Acting Dean School of Environmental Science while the Computer Engineering Department is to be headed by Abubakar Bashir as Acting Head of Department.
The Acting Head of Mechanical Engineering Department is Michael Adelaja while the Food Science Technology is to be headed by Michael Sunday as Coordinator.
Sheba Timothy will now be the Coordinator of Architecture Unit while the Fisheries Technology is to be headed by Buhari Jubril as Acting Head of Department.
The Schools and Departments now include the School of Agricultural Technology, comprising Animal Health and Production Technology, Agricultural Technology, Fisheries Technology,
Crop Production Technology and
Agricultural Extension.
There will also be the School of Engineering Technology, made up of
Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronics, Engineering Technology and Building Technology.
The School of Management Technology will now compromise Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Office Technology and Management as well as Public Administration.
School of Science and Technology is made up of Bio-Chemistry/Biological Science, Computer Science, Food Science Technology, Statistics, Hospitality and Management Technology.
School of Environmental Sciences comprised of Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning while the School of Information and General Studies is made up of Library and Information Science,
Mass Communication and General Studies.
The creation of new schools and the appointment of academic leaders is expected to reflect the institution’s commitment to academic growth, improved governance, and the delivery of quality technical and professional education.
