Faisal Assumes Office As Adamawa NUT Chairman, Hosts NUT Media Crew

The new Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT, Adamawa State Wing, Comrade Abubakar Faisal Mohammed has pledged to reactivate a robust media engagements so as to promote, enlighten, and project the union activities to the global world.

The Chairman gave the indication when he received the Media crew covering the NUT activities during Late Rodney Nathan’s regime led by Samaila Yunusa of Radio Nigeria Fombina FM Yola who paid him a congratulatory visit in his office.
Faisal who was visibly happy for the solidarity visit, thanked the crew for sustaining the bond of relationship, urging them to replicate the same solidarity as they did to his late Boss, Rodney Nathan by giving positive publicity to the Union.
He told members of the crew who were drawn from different media organizations that his emergence was a unanimous decision of the 20 out of 21 local government branch Chairmen of the Union in Adamawa state as well as Stakeholders who felt he can squeeze waters out of stones to revamp the union through welfarism and entrepreneurship drive.
According to Faisal, teachers across Adamawa state will smile more under his leadership since Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has prioritised welfare packages for civil servants with the 70 thousand naira minimum wage.
“The issue of promotions, 27 percent, training and retraining of teachers, accessibility to soft and less interest loans for members to own houses and cater for their families amid this hardship among others are some of my priorities’.
The leader of the delegation, Samaila Yunusa who Congratulated the new NUT Chairman, Comrade Faisal Mohammed said, the media industry and the entire state was happy over his emergence.
He implored the new Chairman to deploy his wealth of experience in entrepreneurship to reactivate the union for a better working condition for teachers.
He noted, “as concerned stakeholders Sir we want to see significant and unprecedented progress in your union since you are in charge now, i know even Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is happy about your victory’
The media consultant to NUT Secretariat, Comrade Fidelis Jockthan who joined Samaila in fecilitating with the Chairman, assured him of a robust publicity so as to project the union and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s Government in positive light.
He extolled Faisal’s acumen having learned the robs of administration and welfarism from late Rodney Nathan.
