English Premier League Records Shocking Results, intrigue, Excitement

It was a dramatic weekend in the English Barclays Premier League.
In the week, 10 matches were played across various venues with shocking results, intrigue, and excitement.
It all began at St James Park where Newcastle United hosted Arsenal, coming from their 2-0 win against Chelsea FC in the Carabao Cup inflicted more pain on the Mikal Arteta boys who seemed to have dropped in form of late, lacking the cutting-edge and the mentality to punish their opponents even when presented with those chances.
The Gunners were gunned down 1-0 by Newcastle United, through their striker Alexander Isak, a result which opened a 7-point gap between Arsenal, who now sits outside the top four and Liverpool, who are topping the league table in week 10, offering Arsenal a tough mountain to climb.
From St James Park another drama unfolded at the Vitality stadium where the defending Premier League Champion, Manchester City came visiting with their 32-match unbeaten run seeking to build on that but AFC Bournemouth had a different plan and at the end of the 90 minutes encounter, Manchester City are yet to understand what hit them as their host halt their winning streak with a 2-1 defeat with goal coming from Antoine Semenyo and Francisco Evanilson while Manchester City goal was scored by Josko Gvardiol.
AFC Bournemouth could be said to be flying at the moment in their backyard, having defeated Arsenal 10 men during the week 8 encounter, while Manchester City, on the other hand, are finding lives difficult at the moment as the Club has lost most of their key players to injuries and the severe effect has been telling on them.
Then on Sunday, all eyes were on Old Trafford, where Manchester United took on Chelsea but the first drama unfolded at Tottenham stadium in London where Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Aston Villa in a match in which both teams sought the 3-point at stake but at the end Tottenham Hotspur prevailed against their visitors beating them 4-1 with Solanke scoring a brace in the 75th and 79th after Brendan Johnson had equalized in the 49th minutes, rounding off the match with a well taken Free kick by James Maddison in the 96th minutes to complete the comeback. After going behind in the first half with Aston Villa Morgan Rogers’s goal.
After the Tottenham Hotspur encounter with Aston Villa, the clash of the week in the super Sunday took centre stage at Old Trafford where Manchester United after sacking Eric Ten Hag following poor results appointed Ruud Van Nistelrooy on a caretaker basis awaiting the arrival of Ruben Amorim and coming on the back of their scintillating performance in Ruud Van Nistelrooy first against Leicester City in the Carabao cup, beating Leicester City 5-2, the club faithful are hoping for a turn around viewing the match as an avenue to make a categorical statement of how the season will pan out while Chelsea under Enzo Marasca seems to have rediscovered themselves.
The match did not reach up to its billing as both teams seemed to lack the killer instinct when it mattered most, however the match came to life in the 70th minute when Bruno Fernandez, the Manchester United Captain converted a spot kick, awarded when Rasmus Hojlund was adjudged to have been brought down by Chelsea goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, in the eighteen-yard box but the roar that accompany the goal has not subsided, when Moise Caicedo brought Chelsea level in the 74th minutes to silence the thunderous voice that greeted Bruno Fernandez goal at Old Trafford by the fans.
In Spain, FC Barcelona have extended their lead in the LA Liga to 9 points sitting atop with 33 points while the defending Champion, Real Madrid are second with 24 points.
FC Barcelona in Sunday beat their arch-rival in the Catalan derby 3-1 to move clear with Valencia, Real Madrid match was postponed following the devastating effects of DANA in Turia a suburb in Valencia where the torrential rainfall has left over 211 people dead. as a mark of respect to the victims all matches involving any team from Valencia was called off.
In the Italian Serie A, the league leader, Napoli, suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hand of Atalanta, with Ademola Lookman scoring a brace in the encounter, while Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan as well as Fiorentina all grabbed the three points at stake.
In the German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich continued their fine form and firm grip on the league table with a comfortable 3-0 win against Union Berlin.
RB Leipzig lost 2-1 to Dortmund while also the defending Champion Bayern Leverkusen were held to a goalless draw by Stuttgart, the biggest win of the week in Germany came in the match between Frankfurt who put 7 goals past VFL Bochum who scored 2 to bring the score 7-2.
