Emir of Muri Commends Taraba Gov for Organizing International Investment Summit

The Emir of Muri, Abbas Njidda Tafida, has commended the Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas for his visionary initiative in organizing the forthcoming International Investment Summit scheduled to hold in Jalingo, the state capital in May this year.

The Emir described the summit as a welcome development, noting that it will provide a platform to showcase the rich mineral deposits and investment opportunities available in the state.
The monarch made these remarks when a delegation from the Taraba State Investment Summit Planning Committee paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Jalingo.

He assured the delegation of his full support and prayers and pledged to be present at the occasion.
Speaking earlier, Chairman of the Committee, Ndudi Elumelu who said he received mandate from Governor Agbu Kefas, stressed that the committee was at the palace to seek the Emir’s fatherly blessings.

He emphasized the importance of traditional rulers in the success of such initiatives, describing them as custodians of the people and critical stakeholders in the state’s development drive.
He further informed the Emir that the committee was tasked with organizing the summit and formally extended an invitation to the revered monarch to attend the event.

In his vote of thanks, Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, expressed profound appreciation to the Emir for granting the delegation audience and for his continued support of the present administration’s initiatives.
