Eid-el Kabir: FedPoly Bali Management Pay Homage on LG Chairman, Traditional Rulers

The Management team and members of the Academic Board of the Federal Polytechnic Bali in Taraba State led by the Rector, Dr.Mohammed Usman have paid Sallah Homage on the Chairman Bali local Government Area, Hon. Aboki Dauda Dakka at his residence in Bali, the administrative headquarters of the Bali Local Government Area.
During the visit, the Director Academic Planning, Dr. Tukur Yahya, explained that the Polytechnic team were at his house to felicitate with him for the successful conduct of the Eid_ El _ Adha festival.
According to him, the visit is also to cement the cordial working relationship between the Polytechnic and the local Government Council as critical stakeholders.
In his remarks, the Rector, told the Chairman the Polytechnic has constituted a Town and Gown committee where issues bordering on the Polytechnic and the host community would be discussed from time to time.
In his response, the Chairman of Bali local Government Area, Hon. Aboki Dauda thanked the Polytechnic Management for the visit and expressed gratitude for the wonderful performances of the Rector which brought about rapid transformation not only in the educational aspect but the infrastructure, human and material aspects as well.
The Chairman stressed the readiness of the local Government to foster peace and development as initiated by the Polytechnic.
The team also paid similar visits to the Lamdo Bakundi His Royal, Alhaji Kabiru Gidado Misa, Hakimin Bali, Alhaji Mohammed Inuwa Misa and the Kur Jibu Bali, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Mahmud who was absent because of state assignment to Saudi Arabia as part of Amirul Hajj team to this year’s pilgrimage.
In his response, the Lamdo Bakundi, expressed gratitude for the visit and welcomed the idea of setting up the Town and Gown committee.
He described the idea as a tool for mutual understanding between the institution and the host community for better understanding of the operations of the Polytechnic.
He expressed readiness of the traditional institutions as community based bodies to partner with the institution in creating awareness on the various skills programmes available in the institution meant to boost the economic status of the youth.
