EBPL: Liverpool FC Set To Lift Title

By Tanko Bauka

As the battle for a place in next year’s Champions League football heat up in the English Barclays Premier League between Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Aston Villa, Liverpool FC are just one point away from running away with the title and Liverpool FC will now seek to do it in style as they welcome underperforming Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield stadium where they will have the luxury of lifting the trophy in front of their teeming and faithful fans.

Arsenal’s midweek two all draw with Crystal Palace handed the title to the worthy winner’s Liverpool FC, and Arne Slot and his boys will need to turn out in great fashion to wrap up the league with four matches still to be played.

Though Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest will all be involved in the semi-final match, Chelsea and Newcastle United, all playing at home, have the chance to go all out for the three points at stake as they prepare to welcome Everton and Ipswich Town respectively.

AFC Bournemouth need to rediscover their form, which has since dipped significantly as they host Manchester United to further expose the decay in the Red Devils camp as Ruben Amorim works round the clock to find a solution to Manchester United’s awful season.

Wolves take on Leicester while Brighton Albion entertain West Ham.

In the Spanish LA Liga, the two giants and arch-rival Real Madrid and FC Barcelona meet in the final of the Copa del Ray in yet another Calatico encounter and as a result of that, there will not be any action in the Spanish LA Liga but in the Italian Serie A, Inter Milan have an uphill task as they welcome AS Roma.

Inter Milan, having fallen to the firepower of Bologna, which allowed Napoli to close the gap between them, cannot afford any slip because if Napoli defeats Torino in their encounter, they will surely overtake them in the league table.

Venezia host AC Milan, Fiorentina battle Empoli as Juventus entertain relegation bound AC Monza.

Lazio welcome Parma while Cagliari travel to take on Hellas Verona.

In the German Bundesliga, Stuttgart will do battle with Heidenheim for the three points, while Hoffenheim welcome Burussia Dortmund as Wolfsburg ambush SC Freiburg.

Bayern Munich, on top of the league with 6 points, engages Mainz 05 while Holstein Kiel welcomes Borussia Monchengladbach with Bayern Leverkusen hosting FC Augsburg, leaving Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig to fight for the three points.
