EBPL: 23 Goals Recorded in First Week

A total of a whopping twenty-three goals were scored across the various match centres during the first week of the English Barclays Premier League, with the highest coming from the encounter between the defending Champion, Liverpool FC and AFC Bournemouth at Anfield, where a total of six goals were scored.
The English Barclays Premier League, regarded as the best and most exciting football league in the world, has twenty teams participating in home and away matches.
The twenty teams competing include,
Aston Villa, Arsenal, AFC Bournamount
Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton
Fulham, Liverpool FC, Leed United
Manchester United,vManchester City
Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest
Sunderland, Tottenham Hotspurs
West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The first week encounters saw Liverpool FC labour so hard to break down stubborn AFC Bournamount, going up two goals before AFC Bournamount replied with two quick goals to level the match, but Liverpool FC dug deep to score two goals to win by 4-2.
The match was the first in Anfield Stadium since the death of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andrea, and the match was marred by racist chants from Liverpool fans targeting AFC Bournemouth’s Ghanaian Semenyo, which forced the centre referee to suspend the match for some time.
The match later resumed where the home team went ahead to begin their defence with a win.
Chelsea FC, the current world club Champion, which boasts a combined two hundred and fifty million pounds sterling on the transfer market, misfired against Crystal Palace in a drab goalless draw at Stamford Bridge, while Tottenham Hotspurs begins new life under their new manager Thomas Frank with a comfortable 3-0 win against new boys Burnley.
West Ham United could not believe what had befallen them as they were comfortably and squarely defeated by another new boy, Sunderland, at the Stadium of Light.
Manchester City dispatched Wolverhampton Wanderers with a convincing win, hammering their host by 4-0 to breathe new life as their latest acquisition, Tijjani Reijnders, and Rayan Cherkri shine brighter.
Manchester United and Arsenal rivalry was rekindled at the Stadium of Light, where the Red Devils showed a remarkable improvement, dominating the majority of the encounter, but lost 1-0 to their old foes Arsenal FC.
In the Spanish La Liga, FC Barcelona began the defence of their title with a controversial win against Mallorca, where the centre referee showed two Mallorca players the marching orders.
FC Barcelona won the encounter 3-0 with the goals scored by the combined strike force of Raphinha Dias, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal.
Atletico Madrid were beaten 2-1 by Espanyol, while Athletic Bilbao swept past Sevilla 3-2 as Deportivo Alaves floored Levante 2-1.
Girona fell 3-1 to the firing power of Rayo Vallacano as Villarreal humbled Real Oviedo 2-0.
