Ebereche Eze Shines in Arsenal’s Win Against Tottenham Hotspurs

Arsenal produced a dominant performance as they dispatched their fiercest rival, Tottenham Hotspur, in the North London Derby at the Emirates Stadium to extend their lead at the top of the EPL to 6 points.
Arteta and his boys came into this game after a disappointing two all draw against Sunderland and needed to put their title charge on track as they seek to win the league which they last won twenty years ago and the gunners turned the tide against the Thomas Frank boys showing class and precision completely outplaying Tottenham Hotspurs with the match stand out player Ebereche Eze grabbing his first North London hat trick after Leandro Trossard had opened the flood gate with the first goal.
Arsenal were missing many first-team players but still managed to get the job done in a big way and will now shift their attention to the UEFA Champions League, where they take on German giants Bayern Munich before travelling to Stamford Bridge Stadium to face Chelsea.
The Defending Champion Liverpool FC had earlier faltered again as they were deservedly and squarely beaten by Nottingham Forest 3-0 at Anfield Stadium to pile up more pressure for the head coach Arne Slot who is currently feeling the heat while Pep Guardiola also suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at St. James’ Park Stadium to Newcastle United to dent their momentum.
Chelsea defeated Burnley 2-0 to leapfrog to the second position, sitting 6 points behind the league leader Arsenal, and now shift their attention to the UEFA Champions League as they welcome Spanish FC Barcelona to Stamford Bridge Stadium before tackling Arsenal.
AFC Bournemouth came from 2 goals down to draw 2- 2 with resurgent West Ham United, while Brighton Albion and Hove beat Brentford 2-1, with Sunderland suffering a 1-0 loss against Fulham at Craven Cottage Stadium in London, as Crystal Palace defeated Wolves 2-0.
Unai Emery’s Aston Villa scored two quick goals to cancel out the early lead by Leeds United at Elland Road to win the encounter 2-1. The week will be rounded off on Monday night with Manchester United hosting Everton at Old Trafford.
In the Spanish La Liga, FC Barcelona put 4 goals past Athletic Bilbao to leapfrog the league leader Real Madrid on top of the league table, though on goal difference, while Atletico Madrid laboured so hard to overcome stubborn Getafe, winning 1-0, as Real Sociedad defeated Osasuna 3-1.
Real Madrid has returned to the top of the league table after being held to a two-all draw by newly promoted Elche, and the Xabi Alonso boys are leading with just a point.
Villarreal beat Mallorca 2-1 while Valencia piped Levante 1-0.
In the Italian Seria A Juventus were held to a one all draw by Fiorentina as the much talked about Milan Derby ended 1-0 in favour of AC Milan which have been a thorn in the flesh of their neighbors Inter Milan while Napoli demolished Ademola Lookman led Atalanta,3-1 as Udinese lost 3-0 to Bologna with AS Roma winning 3-1 against Cremonese.
In the German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich overcame an early scare as they rallied round to beat SC Freiburg 6-2, while Bayer Leverkusen defeated Wolfsburg 3-1, and Borussia Dortmund were held to a three-all draw by Stuttgart.
Koln lost 4-3 to Eintracht Frankfurt, while Heidenheim were beaten 3-0 by Borussia Monchengladbach, with FC Augsburg winning 1-0 against Hamburger.
