Council Boss confirms arrest of 3 suspects over murder of farmer in Taraba

The Chairman of Ibi local government area of Taraba state, Alhaji Iliya Ajibu Jibu on Sunday confirmed the arrest of three suspects who allegedly murdered one Adamu Sale while working on his farm in Gidan Kye, Sarkin Kudu in Ibi local government Area.

AJibu, who stated this while speaking to Journalists via telephone conversation, said he will follow the case to ensure that justice prevails.
“I won’t sleep until justice prevail, how can an innocent farmer to go farm to struggle for what to eat and got killed while working on his farm.
“This is indeed unacceptable, his killers must be brought to book, we love each other and no one can take laws into his or her hands” he noted.
He lamented that security operatives in the local government area must sit up, adding that some of them are frustrating governor Kefas peace mantra.
“We were reliably informed that those who masterminded the killing of Adamu Sale after their initial arrest were released and even giving cover by some security personnel to return back to their homes.
“It was when we went out of our ways that we got them re-arrested. We will never give room for criminals to continue to strive in our place.
“This three suspects arrested are of Tarock tribe from Plateau state and they are Nanfan Nimmak, Amos and Pastor Volnap” he said.
He noted that Ibi local government would continue to be an unsafe heaven for kidnappers, banditry and all forms of criminality.
As at the time of the report, the Police were yet to make any official statements on the incident.
