College of Health Tech Takum, Gilead Best Consulting Ltd Honour Taraba Gov

The Taraba State College of Health Technology, Takum in Taraba State in collaboration with the Gilead Best Consulting Limited has honoured the Governor of the State, Dr Agbu Kefas with a merit award of excellence.

The award was presented to the Governor on Monday in Jalingo at the opening ceremony of a Three Day capacity building training organized for the staff of the college which was held at the Saints Bernard Hotel Jalingo.

Declaring open the capacity building training with the theme “Leadership and Work Ethics”, Governor Agbu Kefas who was represented by the Chief of Staff Government House Administration, Dr Jeji Williams, reiterated the commitment of the state Government towards training and retraining of civil servants for improved productivity.

The Governor said equipping staff in the health and education sectors with the needed knowledge is very important hence, the speedy approval for the three days workshop.

The Provost, Taraba State College of Health Technology, Takum, Dr Wama Emmanuel Binga, revealed that this is the first time, since inception of the College, to hold a workshop for its staff and appreciated the Taraba State Government for turning things around for good in the College.

The lead resource person and Director Gilead Best Consulting Limited, Professor Sunday Ukpata, presented the lead paper on the topic, “Work Ethics and Attitudinal Change for Improved Productivity”.

He encouraged civil servants generally to uphold ethics of their various professions.

Earlier, the Management of the Taraba State College of Health Technology, Takum in collaboration with Gilead Best Consulting Limited, bestowed Meritorious Awards on the State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas and the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Bordiya Buma among others for revamping the health sector.

The three day capacity building workshop is expected to end on Wednesday 13th November, 2024
