Club Chairman, Revives Table Tennis Game in Taraba

The Chairman of the Jalingo Table Tennis Club, Mr Samuel Peter Achagwa has announced that he has successfully revived table tennis game in Taraba State.
The Chairman made this known while speaking with our correspondent in Jalingo.
He said recently, he purchased Table Tennis boards and other items needed for the game aimed at boasting the morale of players.
Mr Samuel Peter added that he has also sponsored some young players to participate in events in Bauchi while another one went for training in Abuja, saying such efforts have started yielding results as the players are making the state proud in the game..
He called on the government, wealthy individuals and corporate organizations to support the efforts in further developing the sports.
The Chairman emphasized the need for additional resources and sponsorships to sustain the revival of table tennis in the state.
Sharing his thoughts on the development, a former African Badminton Champion, Jinkam Bulus Ifraimu, pledged his support for the growth of table tennis in the Taraba state.
He therefore promised to provide nets and other items to the Table Tennis Club as part of his contribution to the game’s development.
