Chief (Dr.) David Sabo Kente to Celebrate 60th Birthday in Grand Style

A prominent businessman, politician, and philanthropist, Chief (Dr.) David Sabo Kente (DSK), will mark his 60th birthday on March 3, 2025, in his hometown of Wukari, Taraba State.

The Diamond Jubilee celebration is set to be a grand event, recognizing his achievements and contributions to the society.
Born on March 3, 1965, Kente has distinguished himself as the Founder and CEO of DSK Group International Ltd. and the DSK Foundation. His influence extends beyond business into politics, where he is a respected leader within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Through the DSK Foundation, Kente has provided scholarships to hundreds of students, supported orphanages, and improved the lives of the less privileged.
His philanthropic efforts have earned him several awards, including “Ambassador of Peace and Societal Development” and “Icon of Humanitarian Services” from the Taraba State Students Union.
In recognition of his contributions, Kwararafa University Wukari recently conferred on him a honorary doctorate degree during its second and combined convocation ceremony.
Kente, a former gubernatorial candidate in Taraba State’s 2015 elections, has played a significant role in governance, previously serving as Director of Finance at the National Assembly and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the North-East Development Commission’s Education Endowment Fund.
The three-day celebration, scheduled from March 1 to 3, is expected to host over 5,000 guests from across Nigeria and beyond. Dignitaries, political associates, business leaders, and well-wishers will converge on Wukari, the administrative headquarters of Wukari Local Government Area, traveling from Ibi, Takum, Zaki-Biam, Kente, and Jalingo to honor the statesman.
As he reaches this milestone, Chief Kente, alongside his wife, Esther, and their six children, expressed gratitude for God’s guidance and remains committed to his mission of serving humanity.
