Chief Caleb Andrew Myebangara, JP FCA (Shettima Batta), a prominent politician and governorship aspirant in Adamawa State under the platform of the PDP has expressed his profound condolences to the family of the late renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

The revered cleric passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital in Bauchi.
In a formal condolence message issued to the media, Chief Caleb, on behalf of his family, extended his sympathies to the scholar’s immediate family, the Muslim Ummah, the Bauchi State Government under Governor Bala Mohammed, and the entire people of the state.
He eulogized the late Sheikh for his lifelong dedication to Islamic scholarship, peace advocacy, and philanthropic endeavors, notably through the foundation he established to support the less privileged.

“The late Sheikh was a great Islamic scholar who preached peace and peaceful coexistence. His consistent message of tranquility earned him widespread integrity and respect,” Chief Caleb stated. “May Almighty Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus.”
