CHAIRMAN, JESINI BUBA LASSA ENGAGES LAGOS MARGI COMMUNITY, UNVEILS VISION FOR “Margi Without Borders”

In a significant move to foster unity and cultural pride, Jesini Buba Lassa, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for the Grand Civic Reception in honour of the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has paid a strategic visit to the Margi community in Lagos.

 

A statement released by Comrade Yusuf Bashir Medugu, Chairman, Media and publicity sub-committee on the Civic reception indicates that the engagement, marked by a warm and interactive session, is part of a broader initiative to strengthen the bonds of fellowship among Margi sons and daughters nationwide and in the diaspora.

During his address, Chairman Lassa emphasized the critical importance of togetherness, cultural preservation, and collective development.

He unveiled the committee’s guiding vision, tagged “Margi Without Borders,” a concept designed to transcend geographical and social boundaries to unite the Margi people.

The Chairman expressed his profound appreciation for the exceptional hospitality and warm reception extended by the Lagos Margi community.

He urged members to remain united and actively participate in the upcoming grand event, which is poised to showcase the rich heritage, enduring values, and remarkable resilience of the Margi nation.

According to the committee, the “Margi Without Borders” movement is more than a celebration; it is a powerful symbol of unity, progress, and pride for all Margi people worldwide. It serves as a reminder that wherever a Margi resides, home remains at the heart of every endeavour.

Chairman Lassa assured that the committee will continue its extensive consultations, with more visits planned across various states and diaspora communities.

This grassroots mobilization is a key part of the preparations to ensure the upcoming Grand Civic Reception and official unveiling of the Margi Attire which is scheduled to take place on 22nd of November 2025 at Mahmud Ribadu Square Yola is a historic and resounding success for the entire Margi nation.
