CATAI pledges commitment to advancing innovation among youths in N’east

A non governmental organization, Center For Advocacy, Transparency & Accountability Initiative has restated its commitment to advancing innovation among youths in North East Nigeria.
The Executive Director of CATAI, Abubakar Sa’id gave the assurance while delivering a welcome address during this year’s International Youth Day celebration in Maiduguri.
“And as CATAI, we remain committed to building the capacity of youth, to standing beside you, walking with you, and learning from you, I want to use this opportunity to invite you all to Our Youth Platform supported by Action Aid within our office premises for all your recreation as young people” he said
According to him, “This year’s theme, “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” could not be more fitting for our context, our work, and our shared vision for the future.
It recognizes that the Sustainable Development Goals — those global promises we made to ourselves and to each other — cannot be achieved without the creativity, courage, and leadership of young people”
He added “at CATAI, we have been privileged to walk alongside young people in this journey, not as spectators, but as partners and allies. Time and again, we have seen how local youth action is the spark that lights up change. We believe in youth action, and we will continue to shift power to young people to lead campaigns for safe and inclusive education — not because it is part of a project plan, but because it reflects their lived reality and their vision for a better tomorrow”
“We work with vibrant youth-led organizations to provide platforms for dialogue with key stakeholders, to access decision-making spaces, and to make their voices hear” he stated
He noted that CATAI celebrated the creativity, resilience, and leadership of young people, showcasing how youth-led solutions are addressing humanitarian and post-conflict challenges while building a fairer, greener future.
“Through mentorship, partnerships, and opportunities, we remain committed to helping these changemakers scale their impact and strengthen their communities” he assured
