The leadership of Arewa PDP Support Group has called on President Bola Ahmad Tinubu to be fatherly, while taking decisions that affects the people irrespective of political sentiments.

The group made the call today in Kaduna, while addressing Journalists on the state of the nation and their party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Speaking on behalf of its members across the 19 Northern states and FCT, the National Coordinator, Hon Aliyu Adamu Aliyu and the National Secretary, Hon Desmond Minakaro, expressed dissatisfaction over the suspension of democratically elected officers (Governor, Deputy Governor and House of Assembly Members) in Rivers State while declaring a State of Emergency.
The group noted that, it is the constitutional right of the President to declare state of emergency to safeguard national assets, peace and security of lives and properties, however, dismantling the elected Executive and Legislative arms is not right.
“We wish to call on the President to reconsider his decision and set aside the suspension of the Governor, Deputy Governor and House of Assembly Members in line with international best practice and calls by imminent Nigerians”.
