BBC Media Action Nigeria to Train Journalists From Seven FM Stations in Three States of the North East

BBC Media Action Nigeria is to train 42 journalists from seven FM stations in three states of the North East zone on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) project.

The initiative which is tagged, BAY States Project is to be implemented in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.
Speaking during a round table discussion with General Managers of the affected FM stations in Abuja, country Director BBC Media Action Nigeria, Mr Lekan Onasanya said the aim of the meeting was to introduce the project’s objectives and activities to the participants.
Others are to share insights into the implementation approaches for the project and facilitate collaboration amongst stakeholders.
The FM stations selected for the project are Borno Radio and Television, Dan Dal Kura Radio, Fombina FM Yola, Nas FM Mubi, Wetland FM Gashua, Yobe Broadcasting Corporation and SMK Radio.
All the General Managers who pledged to work closely with the BBC Media Action Nigeria to succeed, assured of their readiness to nominate productive staff towards the attainment of the said objectives.
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of desktop computers, zoom sound recorders, microphones, power banks, flash drives, cables amongst others to all the FM stations.
