Bauchi NUJ lauds appointment of Ex NUJ Deputy President as Perm Sec

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Council has commended Governor Bala Mohammed for appointing the Special Adviser, Media Comrade Muhktar Gidado as one of the Permanent Secretaries in the state Civil Service.

According to a statement issued by the State Secretary of the NUJ, Isah Garba Gadau and made available to Journalists in Baúchi, stated that the elevation of the former NUJ Deputy President to the position of Permanent Secretary is a welcome development to the Journalists and journalism profession in the state.
Bauchi NUJ explained that the appointment culminates a remarkable journey, from serving as Secretary and Chairman of NUJ Bauchi Council to Zonal Vice President and Deputy National President of NUJ, saying his dedication to journalism and public service led to his appointments as SSA Media and later Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity.
Bauchi council appreciate his unwavering support for Bauchi NUJ and advocacy for the journalism profession.
“We wish you success in your new role while also promising to continue to collaborate for the attainment of the goals of our leader, the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.” Statement concluded.
