Bauchi NUJ commiserates with Gombe Council, NTA over death of 7 staff

The Bauchi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed shock over the death of seven Journalists and RATTAWU members who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident along Kaltungo — Gombe Road in Gombe State.

In a condolence message jointly signed by the Chairman of the Council, Umar Sa’idu, and the Secretary, Isah Garba Gadau, the Union extends its deepest sympathy to the Gombe Council, NTA family and the entire journalism community, particularly the National President of the NUJ, Comrade Alhassan Yahya over the huge loss.
The Bauchi Council described as painful and devastating loss to the journalism profession and the nation at large, adding that the deceased journalists have contributed immensely to the growth of journalism and the nation as a whole.
While sympathizing with the families of the deceased, Bauchi Council prayed for the Almighty Allah to grant them Jannatul Firdaus, and their loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
The Union then prayed for the speedy recovery of all the victims who sustained varying degrees of injuries in the accident.
