Bauchi JSC Organizes Two-Day Workshop Ahead of 2025 Promotional Exams

The Bauchi State Judicial Service Commission has conducted a two-day capacity-building workshop for judicial staff in preparation for the upcoming 2025 Batch A promotion examinations.
The event aimed to enhance participants’ proficiency and align with modernization efforts within the state’s judiciary.
Declaring the workshop open, Bauchi State Chief Judge and Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar, underscored the judiciary’s pivotal role in upholding justice and strengthening democracy.
Represented by Justice M.A. Sambo, she urged attendees to actively engage in the sessions, emphasizing that continuous training and rigorous assessments are vital for maintaining integrity, efficiency, and excellence in judicial operations.
“This workshop is designed to equip staff with updated knowledge and skills, ensuring optimal performance in their duties,” Justice Umar stated.
In an interview, the Commission’s Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Danjuma, reiterated the commitment of the JSC to a transparent, merit-based promotion process.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts to digitize operations, including the transition to e-filing systems, to streamline workflows and bolster service delivery.
Dr. Danjuma further praised Governor Bala Mohammed for supporting judicial independence and noted collaborative strides toward expediting justice dispensation.
Retired High Court Deputy Director Alhaji Saidu Abdulkarim, during a presentation titled *“Bauchi State Judiciary: Evolution, Function, and Characteristics,”* advocated for adopting electronic court processes, citing successful models elsewhere.
Similarly, retired Permanent Secretary Alhaji Sani Ahmad Sani, in a session on *“Basic Tools of Administration,”* encouraged staff to pursue continuous learning for professional growth.
The workshop drew eligible judicial staff from all 20 local government areas of Bauchi State, marking a strategic step toward fostering a tech-driven, competent workforce ahead of the 2025 promotions.
