Bauchi Govt Commence Construction of Roads in 2 LGAs

The Bauchi State Government has commenced the construction of roads connecting rural communities in Kirfi and Alkaleri Local Government Areas of the state.

The projects involve the construction of 18.7 kilometers road from Bara to Tubule and Garin Malam Julde to Wanka in Kirfi Local Government Area, as well as the rehabilitation of the 15-kilometers Alkaleri-Kirfi road.

 

Additionally, the project includes a 3.7-kilometer Alkaleri township road, Duguri township road, and Gajin Bye-pass.

During the Inauguration ceremony, Governor Bala Mohammed emphasized that these projects were part of his administration’s rural transformation initiative, aiming to boost agricultural activities, improve social amenities and develop infrastructure in the region.

Governor Bala Mohammed emphasized the importance of quality work and urged the contractors to adhere to the specified contract requirements.

 

He also encouraged the communities benefiting from these projects to collaborate with the contractors for successful completion.

The Commissioner of the Ministry of Works and Transport, Ibrahim Galadima, assured that competent engineers have been employed to ensure that the projects meet the necessary standards.
