Bauchi Gov has Justified his highest votes in 2019, 2023 elections in Bauchi LGA — Mahmud Baba Ma’aji

The 10 day Media inspection tour approved by Governor Bala Mohammed to 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi state to inspect dividends of democracy spread by the present administration has come to an end.
The tour kicked off on Saturday 6th September with Darazo Local Government Area and ended Tuesday 16th September 2025 in Bauchi LGA led by Bauchi State Commissioner of Information and Communication Usman Shehu Usman.
While at the Bauchi Local Government Secretariat, the Commissioner informed the Local Government Chairman and his council Members that the idea behind the Media tour was that, during the electioneering campaigns in 2019 and 2023, Governor Bala Mohammed promised to build Bauchi State to the dream of the founding fathers of the state if elected to govern the state.
“As God will have it, he became governor and immediately started fulfilling his promise by providing infrastructure and empowerment programmes to the people across the state. “Based on this development we felt 6 years after Governor Bala Mohammed had provided all necessary infrastructure to the people of Bauchi State in all sectors of human endeavors that includes education, health, agriculture, Security, Roads and Transportation. This informed the idea to go round and highlight government projects across the 20 local government areas, ensure accountability and promote public awareness on the completed and ongoing development initiatives”.
The Chairman of Bauchi LGA, Mahmud Baba Ma’aji Abubakar, while welcoming the Commissioner and his team described the tour as timely and commendable, noting that Governor Bala Mohammed has executed “transformational projects that have touched every sector of lives in the state capital.”
While leading the team to one of the newly completed Model Schools at Tsangaya along Maiduguri road, the Chairman explained that the Tsangaya model school is one of three model schools constructed in Bauchi Local Government Area by the Bala Mohammed’s administration.
He said the school comprises classrooms and fully equipped laboratories for physics and chemistry, pointing out that the vision behind the project is to integrate Tsangaya Islamic education with Western knowledge, to allow children benefit from both knowledge.
He disclosed that the contractors have already handed over the school and the local government has engaged security personnel to protect the structures.
The team also inspected the Government Day Technical College – TVET Centre Bauchi, and other Model Mega Schools, which were built to tackle out-of-school children and improve access to quality education.
Other projects disclosed by the Chairman include, Roads & Urban Infrastructure, Dualization of Goodluck Jonathan–Murtala Mohammed Way, expansion of Rafin Zurfi–Gwallameji–Sabon Kaura Road, rehabilitation of Federal Lowcost–Zango Road; and major flood control works in Gwallaga, Kofar Wambai, and Federal Lowcost.
Others are Revival of Bayara Specialist Hospital; establishment of a modern diagnostic centre and upgrade of primary health facilities in Bauchi LGA.
He said other projects are Urban Renewal & Social Amenities, Modernisation of Wunti Market, street lighting projects across the capital, new housing estates under the “My Bauchi Project,” and rehabilitation of Gubi Dam water system and Construction of 3 . 8 kilometers road network at Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi.
