Bauchi Gov Commends BON for Sanitizing Media Industry

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has commended the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) for sanitizing and improving the services of the Media Industry in the country.

He made the remark yesterday while presenting an 18-seater Toyota Bus to the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) to fulfill his promise made during the Annual General Meeting of BON in Bauchi.
Governor Bala said such gesture is a testament to his government’s commitment to supporting the organization’s efforts in shaping Nigeria’s information and media landscape.
He commended BON’s contributions to the country’s media industry, highlighting their role in disseminating information and promoting national development.
He explained that the donation was a small token of appreciation for the organization’s tireless efforts in promoting truth, unity, and progress through their broadcasts.
The governor expressed confidence that the bus would enhance BON’s operations and facilitate their work in the media industry.
The governor further stated that his administration is committed to creating an enabling environment for media organizations to thrive, emphasizing the importance of a free and vibrant press in a democratic society.
Governor Bala urged BON to continue playing its role as a watchdog, holding those in power accountable, and promoting transparency and good governance.

Receiving the vehicle, the National secretary Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) Dr. Yemisi Bamgbose accompanied by the Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Isa said the move has showcased the governor’s dedication to backing initiatives that drive growth and progress in the state and beyond.
He appreciated the governor for donating the bus to the organization which he said will assist them in executing their primary responsibilities diligently.
