Bauchi CAN commends Gov Bala on Religious inclusivity

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdukadir Mohammed has been commended for adopting inclusivity in his administration.
The commendation was made over the weekend by the State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) when they paid him Christmas homage at the Government House Bauchi.
The State CAN Chairman represented by the State Secretary, Reverend Father Wakili, commended Governor Mohammed for his inclusive leadership and commitment to peace.
Reverend Wakili noted that the Christian community in the state enjoys freedom of worship and a secured environment, allowing them to celebrate their faith without fear.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Mohammed for the Christmas support extended to Christian communities across the state, as well as for ongoing developmental projects, the inclusion of Christians in positions of responsibility, and government interventions aimed at assisting vulnerable persons.
“Bauchi State is a shared home for all, emphasizing that progress is only sustained through mutual respect and cooperation between people of different faiths” CAN Chairman said.
Gov Bala reiterated his administration’s commitment to unity, inclusivity, and peaceful coexistence, saying his administration commits to promoting harmony, stressing that public resources and opportunities are meant to serve every citizen without discrimination.
While praising the Christian community for its contributions to peace and stability in the state and commended CAN for maintaining constructive engagement with government,
He emphasized that supporting religious institutions through welfare initiatives and infrastructure is a responsibility of governance, not an act of goodwill.
He, however, recognized the enduring support of the Christian community to his administration and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing it as a relationship rooted in trust.
Bala added that Christmas serves as a reminder of shared values such as compassion, peace, and understanding, and an opportunity to deepen interfaith ties.
