BASG Presents 2 Cars, 30 Motorcycles to Peace Committee in Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro, to ease their assignments

In his determination to ensure continuous peace and harmonious relationships in Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro LGA’S in Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed, presented Two cars and 30 Motorcycles to the newly inaugurated Committee on Sensitization for Peaceful Coexistence between the two sister LGA’S to support its assignment.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Aminu Hamayo, who Presented the Cars and Motorcycles on behalf of the state Governor at Government House, Bauchi, said the gesture was in fulfillment of Governor Bala Mohammed’s earlier promise.
He stressed the importance of the committee’s assignment noting that members are expected to traverse all nooks and crannies of the two local government areas to sensitize residents on the need to embrace peace for the overall development of the state.
He urged the 30-member committee to live up to its responsibilities, assuring that the government would continue to provide all necessary support to ensure the success of their assignment.
Speaking on behalf of the committee, the co-chairmen, Malam Faizu Ado Musa Tafawa Balewa and Reverend Father Benson Bature pledged to utilize the vehicles strictly for the purpose they were provided.
While commending the state government for its prompt intervention in containing the recent conflict in the area before it escalated, the leadership of the Committee promised to work tirelessly without fear or favor and in line with their terms of reference to justify the confidence repose in them.
