Barclays Premier League: Week 6 in Focus
By Tanko Bauka
As the Barclays English Premier League enters week 6, Manchester United will seek to put behind their poor start to the season as they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford on a super Sunday clash.
Ten Hag Boys, popularly known as the Red Devils, have managed to win only 2 out of 5 matches they have played so far, while their opponent, Tottenham Hotspur, are in a similar situation, winning 2 out of 5.
So this encounter offers both teams opportunity to up their game if they are to challenge for the title this season.
Chelsea with their new manager, Enzo Marasca seem to have rediscovered themselves as they are firing from all cylinders, take on Brighton Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge to continue their momentum to further push for the title while coach Arne Slot boys, Liverpool travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers for the three points.
Arsenal also lay a siege at the Emirate Stadium in London to battle for the three points at stake with the newly promoted Leicester city.
Attention will be shifting to the Spanish LA Liga for the first Madrid derby, where Atletico Madrid will rekindle their fiercest rivalry with their neighbours Real Madrid in a match that has produced mixed results in the past.
Real Madrid will be going into this match knowing fully that any slip will offer Barcelona the opportunity to stretch their lead on top of the LA Liga table.
Though Real Madrid with Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Valverde, and Rodrygo among others have stepped up their game in recent times dispatching their opponents with ease they need to be at their best going into the Madrid derby because Atletico Madrid are hard nut to crack and are capable of hurting any team on their good day.
Barcelona with their rich form will again be on the road to take on Osasuna to bag the three points at stake to continue their one hundred percent record this season while the high-flying Athletic Bilbao entertain Sevilla at home seeking to put more misery on Sevilla as they are having the worst start to the season, winning only 1 match out of 6.
In the German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich take on Bayer Leverkusen in a battle for supremacy as the Vincent Kompany boys seek to wrestle the league title from Bayern Leverkusen which go through the German Bundesliga unbeaten in the whole of 2023-2024 season and always remain a threat to Bayern Munich.
