Barclays Premier League: Manchester United’s Chances Continue To Dwindle

Manchester United are not finding life easy in the top flight of the English Barclay Premier League as the red devils have continued to stumble and fumble with poor results even after the sacking of Erik Ten Hag and the subsequent appointment of Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP.
Various clubs in the English Barclays Premier League have continued to expose the decay and mediocrity within the once-dreaded team, and it seems there is no respite in sight to salvage the dwindling fortune of the once-dreaded red devils.
Ruben Amorim’s first match, when appointed, was a trip to Ipswich Town, where Manchester United were held to a one-goal draw, then managed to beat Viktoria Plzen 2-1 in the Europa League.
Manchester lost 3-0 to Arsenal at the Emirate stadium but managed again to defeat their arch-rival Manchester City 2-1 in the Manchester derby.
Things took a different dimension as Manchester United have now lost three straight matches against AFC Bournemouth, Wolves and Newcastle since 60 years ago.
Ruben Amorim who is secretly regretting Manchester United why he abandoned his lucrative coaching career with Sporting CP in Portugal will again face a stern test this weekend as he travels to Anfield stadium to take on Liverpool FC that are crushing any team that comes their way especially now that they have set their sight on the English Barclays Premier League title.
Manchester City, on the other hand, have managed to secure all three points at stake against their host Leicester City at King Power Stadium, while Chelsea’s title hopes were dealt a blow as they suffered a 2-0 loss to Ipswich Town.
Tottenham Hotspur’s inconsistency continued as they were held to a two-all draw by Wolves, while the league leader, Liverpool, dismantled West Ham United by 5-0 to hold tight to the league table.
In the Italian Serie A, Juventus inconsistency was again brought to the fore as they struggled to play out a two-all draw against Fiorentina, while AC Milan parted company with their manager, Paulo Fonseca, after a one-all draw against AS Roma, at the San Siro stadium.
Empoli were beaten 2-1 by Patrick Viara’s side Genoa, Inter Milan dispatched Cagliari 3-0, while Parma beat AC Monza as Lazio held the league leader Atalanta to a one-all draw.
