Bala Wunti Support Organisation Begins Operations in Bauchi, Prioritises Youth Empowerment

The Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO) has officially commenced operations in Bauchi State, unveiling a youth-driven civic platform aimed at promoting community development and sustainable progress across the state.
In a statement signed by the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer, Mukhtar Ahmad Jarmajo, BWSO noted that sustainable development is people-centred, stressing that young citizens possess the energy and commitment needed to drive positive change when properly mobilised and empowered.
According to the statement, the organisation’s mandate includes strengthening youth leadership, promoting civic responsibility, encouraging value-based engagement, creating opportunities, and fostering community cohesion to nurture ethical leaders committed to service across Bauchi State.
BWSO explained that its mission is to unite young people for capacity building, community service, and civic leadership through programmes such as training, mentorship, civic education, volunteerism, and development initiatives implemented statewide.
As part of efforts to deepen grassroots participation, the organisation has established offices in all local government areas of the state to bring its programmes closer to communities and enhance youth involvement in civic engagement.
The organisation called on Bauchi youths, traditional institutions, civil society groups, the media, and development partners to collaborate in advancing youth empowerment, civic responsibility, and peaceful community development across the State.
