As Liverpool FC Eyes English Premier League Title

Liverpool FC’s quest to win the 2024-2025 English Barclay Premier League will come under scrutiny as they test their title credentials against Tottenham Hotspur in the week 17 encounter.
This is a match Liverpool FC would need to give their best to consolidate their grip on top of the league as any slip will allow Chelsea the opportunity to capitalize and overtake them.
Tottenham Hotspur, on the other hand, have not been consistent in the league, but playing at home in London in front of their supporters will be a great opportunity to make a categorical statement as they seek the top four position.
Aston Villa will be at home to welcome wounded Manchester City, which needs to find a quick solution to their sudden poor run in the league if they are to challenge for the league title.
Chelsea FC will undertake a short tricky trip to take on Everton to continue their dominance in the league while Crystal Palace entertain Arsenal in yet another London derby at Selhurst Park and both teams will be going into this match knowing fully that the three points at stake are very vital, especially to Arsenal that seems to have run out of ideas.
The star match of the week is the encounter between Tottenham and Liverpool, while Manchester United will hope to build on the momentum with which they beat their neighbours Manchester City as they host AFC Bournemouth.
In the Spanish, FC Barcelona will face another stern test as they host Atletico Madrid, which sits behind them only on goal differences.
Both teams cannot afford any slip at this time because Real Madrid, which host Sevilla, are lurking closely behind, looking for any opportunity to pounce.
Celta Vigo take on Real Sociedad while Osasuna welcome Athletic Bilbao, with Valencia taking on Deportivo Alaves.
In the Italian Serie A, Ademola Lookman, the newly crowned African player of the year, would want to inspire Atalanta to victory against Empoli as they seek to wrestle the league title from Inter Milan.
Genoa host Napoli as Lacce also welcome Lazio, who will seek to redeem themselves after suffering the heaviest defeat in their history at the hands of Inter Milan, which demolished them 6-0.
Turin giant Juventus, popularly known as the old lady, seem to have turned themselves into a draws specialist who will travel to lock horns with AC Monza.
Inter Milan host Como while AS Roma slug it out with Parma.
In the German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich which lost for the First time in the league as they were beaten 2-1 by Mainz 05 last week, will kick start the weekend on Friday as they host RB Leipzig while Borussia Dortmund travel to Wolfsburg for the three points, Bayern Leverkusen welcome SC Freiburg, Hoffenheim host Monchengladbach, Eintrach Frankfurt entertain Mainz 05.
