Arsenal To Test Strength This Weekend

By Tanko Bauka

Arsenal FC will put their title credentials to the test this weekend in the week 5 encounter against the defending champion, Manchester City, as they travel to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday to lock horns with the high-flying Pep Guardiola boys.

Manchester City will be going into the encounter knowing fully that securing all three points at stake will extend the gap between them and Arsenal to 5 points, as they are currently two points ahead of their visitor.

West Ham and Chelsea will slug it out in a local derby at the Olympic stadium in West London in the early kickoff on Saturday while Liverpool will seek to put behind them their disappointing result against Nottingham Forest as they host AFC Bournemouth to bounce back, so also Tottenham Hotspur as they welcome Brentford after last weekend defeat suffered against their arch-rival Arsenal in the London derby.

Manchester United will travel to Vitality Stadium to face one of their last season’s nightmares, Crystal Palace, as they continue to rebuild.

Elsewhere in Europe, San Siro would light up as Inter Milan take on their rival AC Milan in a match that divides the Italians into two, a derby like no other derby in Italy that brings out the politics in the Mafias.

Another cracker to look forward to is the Juventus vs Napoli match as well as Roma vs Udinese.

In Spain, Real Madrid will continue their catch-up game as they host Espanyol to reduce the gap between them and Barcelona to one, while Barcelona, with a one hundred per cent record going into week 6, travels to Villarreal seeking to extend their lead at the top of the league.
