Arsenal Boosts Chances in EBPL With Defeat Of Man City

Arsenal FC survived one of the stern tests in the English Barclays Premier League as they dispatched Manchester City to boost their chances of overhauling the league leader Liverpool FC, which sits at the top of the league table.
The Mikal Arteta boys come into the match seeking nothing but victory after Liverpool FC have also survived another scare from AFC Bournemouth beating their in-form host 2-0 with both goals coming from Mohammed Salah to extend their lead to 9 points thereby leaving Arsenal with no choice but to win against Manchester City to cut the gap.
The Gunners responded in grand styles with a five-star performance against the league-defending Champion, demolishing them by five goals to one to cement their second position with 50 points, while Liverpool are on 56 points with an outstanding match against Everton.
The manner of the defeat has again put doubt on the revival process undertaken by Pep Guardiola and Manchester City need to put the 5-1 drubbing by Arsenal behind and focus on the looming Champions League first leg against Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium next week Wednesday 11-2-2025 but before then they have an FA Cup to navigate on Saturday.

In the German Bundesliga Bayern Munich continued their dominance and a strong grip on top of the league with a 4-3 defeat against Holstein Kiel while Bayer Leverkusen continued to trail as they also recorded a 3-1 victory against Hoffenheim, with Borussia Dortmund defeating Heidenheim 2-1
