Arrest of leader of Bali killings: Hon. Dauda commends Operation Whirl Stroke

The Chairman of Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Aboki Dauda Dakka has commended the troops from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army (Sector 3) who are also known as Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) for performing excellently well in arresting one Hassan Ibrahim, the ring leader of the attack in Mararaban Azagawa village of Bali Local Government Area of the State.
Dauda Dakka also commended Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, the Commander of the 6 Brigade, Sector 3 OPWS, saying his officers are wonderful.
Hon. Dauda Dakka, who expressed worry over the killings of five (5) innocent people owing to the attack launched by Ibrahim and his cohorts in Mararaban Azagawa village, described the action of the culprits as unfortunate and an evil deed carried out by heartless people.
He spoke to our Correspondent through a telephone conversation this Monday while in Jalingo the State capital.
Appreciating the officers for display of intelligence and expertise, the Chairman said the job was well done and prayed Almighty God to continue to protect and defend them (officers) in their efforts to fish out the bad eggs in the local government area.
Hon. Dauda further warned all criminally minded residents in the local government area and Taraba State as a whole to desist from their thoughts and acts or face the full wrath of the law.
Our Correspondent gathered that the troops who arrested Hassan Ibrahim also known as Godu acted on intelligence and information provided by the public and made available to the officers in the area.
It was reliably gathered that Hassan Ibrahim (Godu) led an attack at Mararaban Azagawa village of Bali local government area of the State on 16th day of June, 2024 which resulted to the death of five (5) people with several others injured.
