Armed Forces Day: Gov Kefas Pledges Continued Support To Security Agencies

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in the State to ensure lasting peace and safety for residents.
The governor made this known during a church service held at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Cathedral, Mile Six, Jalingo, to mark the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration.
In his address, Governor Kefas reflected on the security situation in the state when he assumed office, noting that residents were living in constant fear due to rampant cases of kidnapping and other criminal activities.
The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, emphasized that his administration’s proactive measures have led to significant improvements in the security situation across the state, allowing residents to now sleep peacefully.
He assured that his government will not relent in its efforts to provide the necessary support and logistics for security agencies to combat crime and protect citizens from individuals with criminal intentions.
In his message, the bishop Charles Hammawa stressed the importance of remembering the bravery and dedication of military personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
He urged citizens to pray for the nation’s armed forces, both serving and retired, and to promote peace and unity across the country.
