Ardo Kola LG PDP’s ward congress, peaceful – Council chairman

The Chairman of Ardo Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Ismaila Zakari (Dangote) has described as peaceful the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ward Congress conducted by the party across the ten (10) wards of the local government on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Hon. Zakari, who stated this before newsmen at Sunkani, headquarters of the local government area shortly after monitoring the exercise across the wards of the council expressed happiness with the conduct and outcome of the exercise.
According to him, “party chieftains and supporters from the area came out in large numbers to participate in the exercise, the peaceful and harmonious co-existence that exhibited among the people added to the success of the ward congress”.
“Every Ardo Kola person is a member of PDP and we always speak with one voice, so as to complement the moving forward agenda of our amiable Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas”,
“Whether consensus or no consensus, those who emerged victorious as party officials of the wards were able to do so because we spoke with one voice, we are united and the people are in peace with one another”, he said.
Speaking in an interview also, the Electoral Officer (EO), of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Ardo Kola Local Government Area, Musa Yusuf said, “the PDP ward congress conducted in Sunkani and other wards of the local government was peaceful”,

“We were the observers and we witnessed everything that happened. The Returning Officers collated their results from the Wards and submitted to the Returning Officer at the local government level and we have collated the results”,
“The exercise from my observation was free, fair and credible and so far, we have not received any complaints from any quarters”, he said.
Yusuf however, called on both the winners and losers to work together for the progress and development of the local government.
Our Correspondent described Zangonkombi, Allh-ngora, Iware, Tau, Mayo Ranewo, Sarkin-Dutse, Lamido-Borno, Jauro-Yinu, Ardo-kola and Sunkani, headquarters of the Council as the 10 wards of Ardo-Kola local government area of the State.
